I hear the night life in Puerto Plata is very good. However, I prefer the Punta Cana beaches. The beaches are beautiful on both islands.
I think most people that travel to Jamaica don’t leave the resort the whole time they are there. You would have to pick a resort like Sandals to get the good night life.

I haven’t been to DR, but from the people I know that have gone, it seems kind of limited in activities. You are sort of restricted to the resort you’re staying at. Jamaica, on the other hand, (which I have been to) does have clubs and beaches in Montego Bay. Negril has a quiet party scene, but the scenery is beautiful. Also if you’re looking for a wild time, consider Hedonism resorts. The party only stops when you do.
