How can I get from Kingston to Negril apart from using an airplane?

Can I get a coach/bus to go to Negril from kingston? How much would it cost me? What about the airplane ticket, how much would it cost me?
Do I have to book ATI and RTI tickets in advance? Or can i just buy the tickets when i get to Negril
Jamaica? I never been to that festival, just want to know how it works.

You can catch a bus from Kingston to Ochi, another from Ochi to MoBay, and another from MoBay to Negril,,,,they may have a bus straight to Mandaville and another from there to Negril, but I’m thinking it still goes to MoBay 1st.
As far as flying goes, not sure on the rate for a ticket, but about $100 one way sounds about right for that short of a flight. Heres a link to an island airline >

You can get a bus anywhere in Jamaica. They’re called “country buses”. You just need a strong stomach. Like others said, you’ll need to change buses several times. Pay cash in local currency, no reservations.
