Negril Vacation fun

Can I get a coach/bus to go to Negril from kingston? How much would it cost me? What about the airplane ticket, how much would it cost me?

Do I have to book ATI and RTI tickets in advance? Or can i just buy the tickets when i get to Negril

Jamaica? I never been to that festival, just want to know how it works.

I am traveling to Jamaica soon and I was thinking of staying one half of my trip in Negril and then the second half in Port Antonio. When thinking of how to get from on side to the other I planned to take a taxi. Is it a bad idea to take a taxi that far in Jamaica, and around how much would it cost. I have heard some negative things about taking a taxi that far and am now considering just staying in Negril Jamaica the whole time.
I don’t think i am going to take a taxi to PA anymore. It would cost upwards of 250 dollars for one way and it can take forever to get their (over 6 hours) that would be like losing two days of my vacation. Everyone here was positive about taking a taxi, but on other forums everyone discouraged it, especially native Jamaicans.
