Mobay at night adn Negril during the day?

I will be in Jamaica in July. We are planning to go to Reggae Sum-fest. Is it smarter to stay in Mobay for Thurs-sun then maybe Negril for the rest of the stay? We are 2 young ladies and concerned about traveling at night after the parties. What do you guys think?
